How to use

Schema versions

B2M Business-to-Market and B2B Business-to-Business. Generic term used to refer to defined business-to-business interactions between participants; excludes interactions between a participant and market systems such as MSATS. schema versions change to allow for new features. The Markets Portal Web applications for registered participants only. Requires access to MarketNet. web interfaces provide details of the current schema versions required for transactions.

To assist participants to make the transition, AEMO Australian Energy Market Operator supports both the new and immediately superseded versions of the schemas. This allows time for participants to schedule their transition without forcing a compromise between their peers and AEMO to agree a single transition time.

Any effects due to changes in the meaning of data, rather than its format, may affect participant business processes. These are communicated in technical specifications as each new version of a schema is announced.

AEMO recommends participants keep up with aseXML schema changes because only one past (superseded) version is supported.
